Hysteroscopy allows direct high-definition visualization of the inside of the uterus (endometrial cavity) via an ultrathin lens inserted through the natural cervix. Polyps, fibroids, and uterine septa are treated concurrently without incisions or scarring.
Clinical Indications
- Endometrial polyps interfering with embryo implantation.
- Submucosal uterine fibroids protruding into the endometrial cavity.
- Intrauterine adhesions (Asherman's Syndrome).
- Uterine septa (congenital cavity division) linked to recurrent miscarriages.
- Investigation of abnormal uterine bleeding or postmenopausal bleeding.
