Testicular Sperm Extraction (TESE) is a specialized outpatient surgical procedure designed to retrieve viable sperm directly from testicular seminiferous tubules in men diagnosed with azoospermia (zero sperm in the ejaculate). Retrieved sperm can be immediately cryopreserved or used for ICSI.

When is Testicular Biopsy Indicated?

- High sperm DNA fragmentation where testicular sperm exhibits lower fragmentation than ejaculated sperm.
- Ejaculatory failure or severe spinal cord injury preventing normal ejaculation.
- Evaluation of testicular histology and spermatogenesis architecture.
